The DAMBAN Engineering Office manages System Group 4 of the Technical Building Equipment within the scope of planning and engineering services, in accordance with HOAI, which is simultaneously designated as Cost Group 440 according to DIN 276. Cost Group 440 refers to air-technical systems of the building services trades in structural installations, which fall within the scope of HOAI (Regulation on Fees for Architectural and Engineering Services).

Cost Group 440 (System Group 4) is further subdivided into additional cost groups at the 2nd level of DIN 276:

443 Low Voltage Switchgear Systems:
Low voltage main distribution boards; reactive power compensation systems; etc.

444 Low Voltage Installation Systems:
Cable systems; wiring systems; sub-distribution boards including associated switching and protection components; underfloor and surface-mounted installation systems; installation devices; switches; sockets; installation components in general; etc.

445 Lighting Systems:
Interior lighting systems; fixed lighting; safety lighting systems battery-buffered or with central supply; traffic route lighting systems inside buildings; etc.

446 Lightning Protection and Earthing Systems:
Lightning conductors; earthing systems; equipotential bonding technology; surge protection in general (internal and external); lightning protection air-termination systems; separation systems; etc.

447 Overhead Contact Line Systems:
Overhead contact line systems for local and long-distance transport, e.g. via overhead lines; etc.

449 Miscellaneous for Cost Group 440:
Electric drives; electric heating systems; illuminated advertising systems (CGR 546); fire protection components; etc.
